Retro Rice Bag

Here is a simple sewing project that would make a cute Christmas gift.

It is perfect for headaches, bruises and ouchies.  I made this one for my son who seems to constantly have a boo-boo.

Here are the instructions for making this little project:

Cut two 9"x5" pieces of fabric.  Using a 1/4" inseam sew the wrong sides together leaving a 1" opening.

Turn the fabric right side out and top stitch around the outside of the bag (except for the 1" opening).  Fill the bag with rice using a funnel and carefully top stitch the opening closed.  You can add a ribbon at this step if you would like.

To use, heat in the microwave at 30 second intervals until it reaches desired temperature.

It can also be stored in the freezer to be used as a cold pack.

Hope You Enjoy!
