Coasters with Cricut

{I made a similar coaster project here.}
This time I wanted to use my Cricut to personalize the coasters.

Following these instructions from Beneath My Heart I covered the tiles in heavy card stock.
The paper was actually a pack of note cards from the dollar section at Michaels.
Now I wish I would have bought more!!

To make the monogram, I used my Cricut to cut the letters out of hot pink vinyl.

{The font is "Boyz R Gross" from 1001 fonts.}

After I applied the vinyl, I put a coat of Mod Podge over the entire tile.  When the Mod Podge was dry, I applied a couple of layers of glossy acrylic sealer to make them waterproof.

I love how they coordinate with my "fauxtique" coffee mug!
