Here are a two more projects using permanent vinyl...
I found a plain black coffee mug and a bright aluminum water bottle at the dollar store last weekend.
After applying vinyl and adding a ribbon, these dollar store items were transformed!
{Remember these are "hand wash" only. I would not try to put vinyl in the dishwasher or microwave.}

I'm Linking to these parties...

Hope you don't mind me asking, but where do you get your vinyl?
ReplyDeleteThanks
Sarah
Lol. Was looking for the same answer.
DeleteI order my vinyl from craft vinyl.com
DeleteI wanted to ask the same thing... if you don't mind. I see EVERYONE using vinyl and I want to know how to use it and how to apply it to things like you did here. Do you use any glue product???
ReplyDeleteFunny I was wanting to ask the same question.
ReplyDeleteThose are very cool. I especially love the water bottle. I wish I was crafty and creative like that, but alas...I'm not!

ReplyDeleteBoth items look Fav! Love the colors, you should be selling them. Don't know if you'd make any money but I have bought several items that look like that and they are always expensive. Just a thought.

ReplyDeletewhat machine do you have for personal vinyl cutting?
ReplyDeleteI used the Cricut for this project, but no longer recommend this machine because there is no longer software to use with it. If you are looking for a good cutter I would recommend the Silhouette.
DeleteWhat font are you using for the black mug? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteDid you just cut the letters, and place them on the cup?
ReplyDeleteAlso, did you aplly anything to seal the letters down?
I would assume a cricut would be great for the letters.

ReplyDeleteI tried to do this project putting hot pink Oracle vinyl on a black mug and the black color showed thru the vinyl and made it a really dull pink. How did you keep your pink so vibrant? (I've run into this same problem using other colors over black in the past...) TIA!
ReplyDeleteI would try a different vinyl. I used permanent (outdoor) vinyl from craft vinyl.com.
