Here's another fun project using the Cricut personal cutter.
I made this design using clip art I purchased from this Etsy shop that I traced into my Make the Cut software.
I would definitely recommend purchasing this software if you own a Cricut. Not only can you cut all the fonts on your computer with this program, but it also has a built in tracer that will allow you to cut any png or jpeg clip art.
You will never need to buy another expensive cartridge!
You will never need to buy another expensive cartridge!
After cutting the image, I pulled off the excess vinyl and ironed the remaining image onto the t-shirt using a pillow case as a cover.
This project was super easy and has definitely inspired me to try more heat vinyl projects.
Heat transfer vinyl comes in lots of different colors and can be used on most fabrics. It can also be layered for a fun, colorful design.
{This seems to be a really good price and also a great selection of vinyl.}

ReplyDeleteLove it - I go hoot hoot for owls!
I think I am the only person in the US without a cricut. It looks so versatile!!!
Happy Monday,

ReplyDeleteVery Cute! I hopped over from It's so Very Cheri--linky party. I'm following you on Yahoo Reader:)
ReplyDeletethat is one CUTE t-shirt!! I bought my Cricut to do scrapbooking with.... haven't done one scrapbook page but I've done so many other things with it. My favorite is using the freezer paper method to paint on a t-shirt. I've never heard of this vinyl method. Do you have a video tutorial on this? I've got SCAL too and I cannot believe it when I see people purchasing a cartridge! I LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteI'm super excited to hear about Make the Cut. I have a Cricut Expression and had no idea this was even out there. How did you learn how to use it? Can you email me? Thanks for the cute idea!
