Ribbon Flower Flip Flops

These flip flops are so cute and girly and perfect for springtime!  They are super easy & inexpensive to make & would be a great gift!

To Make:

I started out with a pair of basic, boring flip flops.

You can find these flip flops just about anywhere...

I purchased these at Wal mart.

I wrapped brown satin ribbon (5/8") tightly around the straps using hot glue to secure.  If you are worried about hot glue holding up you can also use an epoxy glue like E-6000.

{So far the hot glue has held up just fine...}

To make the ruffle flower I began by sewing a loose stitch down one edge of a 20" piece of  ribbon.  After sewing all the way down the edge of the ribbon, I pulled the loose thread and gathered the ribbon into  a flower.  I stitched the ends together underneath the flower to hold it in place and glued it onto the flip flop.

Super Easy!

Hope you enjoyed!

Go try it out...
