Monogrammed Burlap Marker Board

I wanted to replace the marker board that was hanging on our kitchen wall.  I needed something that would look sharp, but still be usable for making a grocery list or writing little reminders.

BEFORE...

I took this old poster frame that I wasn't using and removed the picture.  I hot glued a piece of burlap to the cardboard backing from the frame and stenciled the monogram using craft paint.

AFTER...

It can now be used with dry erase markers and looks so much better than the old marker board!

  5. Thx for sharing! I have an 11 x 14 frame that I was trying to use as a marker board calendar, but after seeing this I'm going to change it up!

  9. ok-pretty sure that this project is the one that is going to get me to actually go and purchase some burlap! Love it! What font did you use for the letter? I too have the same initial and I just loved the simplicity of it! Please, stop by and say hello!
